Greg Holden is well-qualified to advise people on how to start an Internet business.  He is
the author of
eBay PowerUser's Bible, also.  A lot of details are necessary for doing
business online, and Greg did an outstanding job in showing the step-by-step  process.

Besides needing a good product or service, you must choose a Web hosting company
that will keep your web pages available on a web server.  It can cost you from $10 and up
per month for website hosting.  Yahoo, Microsoft, Earthlink, and others are experienced in
doing this.  They will also usually provide free web design software if you choose them as
your host.

Another necessary aspect of doing business is collecting payment for your product or
service.  Greg explains how to use PayPal, merchant credit cards, and micropayment
companies.  This information is invaluable for setting up your website.

Greg talks about affiliate programs that can help you earn extra money as well as putting
out the word about your company.   He also does a good job in showing how to set up a
weblog site that can either stand alone or augment your regular website.   Blogging  is a
very popular trend on the Internet now, and it is often a big advantage to have a blog that
talks about your company.

Another big topic in the book involves search engine placement and paid advertising to
assure that your site is noticed in the vast sea of the Internet.   A lot of the techniques for
search placement are free or relatively inexpensive.  Greg does go into detail about how
much it could cost you if you choose paid advertising, though.

Mr. Holden also talks about other site promotion methods, shipping your product, website
security, and other issues.  His book is clearly the best I have ever seen for setting up a
business online!
