| Body Language is a classic book about how to understand body signs that people give you. You can learn how to make advances without taking chances. For example, crossed arms are usually always a defensive posture. What are other ways people can use to figure out another person? The pupils of the eyes are one way. If a person gets a good hand in a poker game, his pupils will uncontrollably dilate. He sees something he likes. The same is true of a man looking at a nude picture of a woman. His eyes dilate because of interest. Another common sign is a woman flirting with a man by winking her eye. What are other ways to tell a woman's desire? She may cross her legs and show her thigh. She may also leave her legs open indicating that she is receptive of the man. Then, if she touches him or brushes against him, it reinforces her certain interest. There are also certain steps in body language communication that lead to a certain end. For example, a young man on a date should hold his girl's hand before he tries to kiss her. If she squeezes his hand, she is signaling for the next step. He should try to put his arm around her shoulder next and eventually kiss her or touch her breast from the backside. This step by step process ends up in a romance as long as the lady does not throw up any roadblocks. She will most likely signal the next step when she is ready. A lot of the book is common sense, but it is a good review of how people give signs. |
