Stock Market Commentary

We are in a market situation where only a handful of stocks will make double digit
returns. Some of these could be buy-and-hold stocks while others display a
volatile behavior that might work for small gains several times per year. I
currently own several of the stocks below. Of course, there is risk involved with
buying the stocks on the list, but I believe they will outperform the S & P.

As of March 2008, we are currently in a bear market. It also may not end until
2009 after our new president is sworn in and after all the mortgage defaults are
past. The stock market hates uncertainty, and this will be a bad year because of
politics alone.

Another condition for a turnaround on stocks is for the federal reserve to lower
interests rates all the way to the bottom like they did in 2002. Low interest rates
are needed for home building, for people buying houses, and for all types of
businesses.

In this type of market environment, only certain stocks and sectors will be safe for
investment. Oil companies will be acceptable for years to come because people
will be far too slow in adopting alternative energy. Also, new people buying cars
in India and China will constantly cause a drain on available oil supplies.

Uranium will be a hot industry as well because China and the US are planning to
build more nuclear plants. This will provide a big boost for uranium companies
since we will be having more demand than supply.

LED lights for homes, businesses, and motor vehicles will be a big wave of the
future, too. Several companies are manufacturing LED lighting products, and

Finally, the decline of the dollar will cause opportunities for investment in gold
and silver. These commodities almost always move in the opposite way from the
dollar.
